Implant-Supported Dentures
Secure, comfortable dentures anchored to dental implants.
Overview
Implant-supported dentures combine the affordability of dentures with the stability of dental implants. Dr. Amini places 2-6 implants in the jaw to securely anchor a custom denture, eliminating the slipping, clicking, and discomfort associated with traditional removable dentures while significantly improving chewing function and confidence.
Who This Is For
- Patients who currently wear traditional dentures and struggle with fit or stability
- Individuals considering dentures who want a more secure solution
- Those with sufficient bone for at least 2 implants per arch
- Patients seeking an upgrade from conventional dentures without full arch fixed restoration
Who This Is Not For
- Patients with severe bone loss requiring extensive grafting first
- Individuals with untreated periodontal disease
- Those with unrealistic expectations about eating all foods
- Patients unwilling to perform the required implant and denture hygiene
The Process
Evaluation: Dr. Amini assesses your existing denture, bone density via CBCT, and discusses your functional and aesthetic goals.
Implant Placement: 2-6 implants are placed in the jawbone under local anesthesia with sedation. The number and position depend on your bone and the type of denture attachment.
Healing Period: Implants integrate with bone over 3-6 months. Your existing denture can be relined for comfortable use during healing.
Denture Conversion: Once healed, your denture is modified with precision attachments that snap or lock onto the implants, providing secure, stable retention.
